Il y a une chose que je n'ai pas encore mentionnée à propos des baroudeurs : la langue qu'ils utilisent pour communiquer. Si vous avez lu l'intro sur cette page ICI, avec leurs profils et leurs informations personnelles, vous aurez constaté que l'une des conditions pour obtenir le contrat de travail était d'être parfaitement bilingue en français et en anglais, et, que certains sont français, d'autres canadiens ; cependant, la plupart des Canadiens sont anglophones. Par conséquent, les dialogues que vous lisez sont tous en français (ou tous en anglais dans mes traductions), mais dans la réalité, ils sont être un mélange vivant de français et d'anglais, deux langues qui s'entrecroisent et se mêlent constamment dans le chalet.

Maintenant, revenons-en à l'histoire du jour.

Tout le groupe savait que Nabil emmenait Jasmine dîner et au cinéma ce soir (revoir ICI) ; aussi, lorsqu'il quitta le chalet en disant qu'il allait s'habiller, personne ne lui prêta attention.

Tina, Aslan, Shannen et Kyle, étaient bien trop occupés à visionner le dernier épisode de NCIS-Sydney, pendant que Wash...

... discutait avec Oona et Franck, et que Yumi jouait sur sa tablette.

Mais quand Nabil réapparut 15 minutes plus tard, un silence stupéfait s'abattit sur le chalet ! 

"Waouh… Tu es beau comme un dieu !… Enfin, un petit dieu, mais tu es quand même beau", s'écrie Oona d'un ton admiratif.

"Tourne un peu qu'on puisse te voir !", demande Franck, très surpris par l'allure inhabituelle de son camarade.

Nabil se met à rire et, avec bonne humeur, joue les mannequins, tournoyant sur lui-même, comme l'avait fait Wash quelques jours plus tôt, quand il avait montré le pull offert par Guylaine à ses camarades.

Les compliments fusent. "T'es magnifique !". "Je n'aurais pas pensé qu'un costume t'irait si bien !". "Je n'aurais pas reconnu l'homme des bois habituel !". "Ouai, pas mal du tout !", etc.

"Dis donc, sapé comme ça, elle va te tomber dans les bras, la belle Jasmine... et plus si affinités, hein !", le taquine Oona.

"Ce n'est pas du tout le but, c'est une sortie en amis, tout ce qu'il y a de plus simple", proteste aussitôt Nabil.

Franck esquisse un sourire en coin, amusé par la rapidité de cette protestation énergique !

Et il n'est pas tout seul ! 

Nabil attrape les clés de la Jeep que Kyle lui prête pour cette sortie et s'en va rapidement.

"Bon, allez, j'y vais ! Bonne soirée les copains !!".

The whole group knew that Nabil was taking Jasmine to dinner and the movies that evening (watch it again HERE); so, when he left the cabin saying he was going to get dressed, no one paid him any attention.

Tina, Aslan, Shannen, and Kyle were far too busy watching the latest episode of NCIS: Sydney, while Wash was chatting with Oona and Franck, and Yumi was playing on her tablet.

But when Nabil reappeared 15 minutes later, a stunned silence fell over the cabin!
"Wow... You look like a god!... Well, a little god, but you're still handsome," Oona exclaimed admiringly.
"Turn around so we can see you!" Franck asked, very surprised by his friend's unusual appearance.

Nabil starts laughing and, in good spirits, plays the model, twirling around, just like Wash had done a few days earlier when he showed off the sweater Guylaine had given his friends.

Compliments fly. "You look amazing!" "I wouldn't have thought a suit would look so good on you!" "I wouldn't have recognized the usual woodsman!" "Yeah, not bad at all!", etc.

"Hey, dressed like that, beautiful Jasmine is going to fall into your arms... and maybe more, eh!" Oona teases him.
"That's not the point at all, it's just a casual outing with friends," Nabil immediately protests.
Franck gives a wry smile, amused by the speed of this energetic protest!
And he's not alone!

Nabil grabs the keys to the Jeep Kyle is lending him for this outing and quickly drives off.
"Okay, I'm off! Have a good evening, guys!!"
