Tina est la seule photographe du groupe à être presque au chômage technique durant cette saison hivernale, dans la mesure où les insectes et la flore ne sont pas très présents en hiver au Canada !

Le sachant depuis longtemps, elle avait prévu de longue date de rentrer en France pour les fêtes de fin d'année, et, dès septembre, elle avait réservé un billet sur la compagnie Air Transat.

C'était sans compter sur l'attirance entre elle et Aslan, s'amplifiant de semaines en semaines, qui l'avait finalement amenée à refuser une offre d'emploi alléchante à Montpellier (revoir ICI) pour rester ici.

Le billet d'avion était pour un départ le 20 décembre, et la famille de Tina s'attendait à la voir passer les Fêtes avec eux.

Mais Tina appréhendait avec tristesse la séparation imminente d'avec Aslan..

Un coup de tonnerre illumina son ciel lorsqu'elle apprit que les pilotes d'Air Transat avaient déposé un préavis de grève illimitée. Tina sentit un immense poids s'envoler de ses épaules : plus besoin de choisir entre sa famille et le chalet avec son amoureux.

Mais cette semaine, tout a recommencé : les pilotes ont signé un accord de principe avec la direction, et annulé le préavis de grève (ICI et ICI).

Et la détresse de Tina a recommencé.

Ce soir, Aslan l'a prise dans ses bras et lui a murmuré : "Ce n'est que pour quelques jours, et ils seront heureux de te revoir".

Ces mots n’ont pas consolé Tina, mais lui ont permis de peser le pour et le contre. Elle s’était sentie si heureuse et libre de ne pas pouvoir partir, et si abattue et déprimée en apprenant qu’elle n’avait plus aucune raison de rester.

Alors, blottie contre lui, elle a pris sa décision.

"J'ai bien réfléchi. Je reste. Je veux passer Noël avec toi" lui a-t-elle soufflé.

Aslan avait le cœur qui battait la chamade. Il était si heureux…

Knowing this for a long time, she had planned to return to France for the holidays, and as early as September, she had booked a ticket with Air Transat.

This was without taking into account the growing attraction between her and Aslan, which ultimately led her to turn down a tempting job offer in Montpellier (see HERE) in order to stay with him.

The plane ticket was purchased for a departure on December 20th, and Tina's family expected her to spend the holidays with them.

Tina sadly watched the impending separation from Aslan.

A thunderbolt cleared her sky when she learned that the Air Transat pilots had filed a notice of an indefinite strike. Tina felt a huge weight lifted from her shoulders: having to choose between her family and the cottage with her boyfriend.

But this week, it all started again: the pilots signed an agreement in principle with management and cancelled the strike notice (HERE and HERE).

And Tina's distress began anew.

Tonight, Aslan took her in his arms and whispered, "It's only for a few days, and they'll be happy to see you."

This didn't console Tina, but it did allow her to weigh the pros and cons. She had felt so happy and liberated not to be able to leave, and so dejected and depressed when she heard she no longer had any reason to stay.

So, snuggled up to him, she made her decision.

"I've thought it over. I'm staying. I want to spend Christmas with you," she whispered.

Aslan felt like his heart was going to burst. He was so happy...
