Contre toute attente, la jeune Emilie a pris un bon départ au travail. Certes, ses chances de devenir un jour chef d'équipe du service entretien sont minimes, mais elle a fait des progrès indéniables ! Néanmoins, elle n'apprécie toujours pas de passer l'aspirateur (c'est bruyant et il faut se contorsionner pour aspirer sous les lits !), mais en revanche, elle excelle pour laver les sols ; Jimena lui confie donc cette tâche en priorité. De plus, comme Emilie a promis de mettre son téléphone en mode silencieux, elle l'a même autorisée à le garder avec elle pour écouter de la musique en travaillant.

Cependant, aujourd'hui, Émilie avait oublié ses écouteurs ; elle a demandé à Shannen et Nabil, les deux seules personnes présentes au chalet ce matin, si cela les dérangeait qu'elle écoute sa musique malgré tout, ce qu'ils ont accepté sans hésiter. Elle s'est mise à laver le sol de la salle de bain avec entrain, chantant "Ciel" en même temps que Gims  (écouter ICI).

Nabil la rejoint.

"Je t'écoutais depuis la pièce d'à côté, tu chantes vraiment bien, tu pourrais faire carrière dans la chanson ! J'aime ta playlist, tu pourrais la partager ?" 

"Pas de problème. C'est sûr que ça doit te changer de la musique cringe de votre copine !"

(elle fait référence à Shannen qui adore la musique des années 80 et en fait souvent jouer quand elle travaille sur l'ordinateur)

Ils bavardent quelques minutes au sujet de leurs chanteurs préférés, et Nabil tente sa chance.

"Ça te dirait qu'on sorte un soir, on pourrait se faire un resto. Je t'invite si tu veux".

Il ajoute : "Et on pourrait aller danser après si tu veux".

"Aller danser après le resto ?"

"Ouai, ça ferait une sortie sympa".

Émilie n'est pas dupe.

"Ah ouai. Cool. Et après le night, tu as des projets ?!" demande-t-elle avec ironie.

"Mais rien.... rien de spécial. Pourquoi me demandes-tu ça ?".

"Parce que j'ai trois grands frères et que je les ai suffisamment souvent entendu parler entre mecs pour deviner ce que tu penses !". 

Nabil se met à faire des grands gestes de protestation amusée.

"Comment peux-tu imaginer ça ? Un garçon comme moi, super sérieux, et tout et tout !!" 

"Hé ! Arrête de gesticuler comme ça, je t'ai déjà montré les panneaux deux fois pour te rappeler que le sol est mouillé et glissant !" s'écrie Émilie.

Trop tard ! Nabil glisse sur le sol mouillé et se retrouve assis par terre.

Émilie éclate de rire. 

"Tu es sans cœur de te moquer de moi comme ça !! J'aurais pu me tuer parce que tu me soupçonnais d'avoir des pensées que je n'oserais jamais avoir pour une belle fille comme toi !".

Émilie est morte de rire, elle en pleure presque.

Nabil se relève en boitant légèrement, puis demande :

"Alors, après m'avoir fait faire cette vilaine chute sur mon magnifique postérieur super musclé, tu ne peux pas refuser de passer la plus belle nuit de ta vie avec moi !".

"Mais si ! Dis, franchement, tu peux imaginer ce que penseraient mes copines si elles savaient que je vais danser avec un gars qui n'arrive même pas à tenir sur ses jambes ?! J'aurais trop la honte !!.

Émilie se remet à rire, puis, une fois calmée, elle ajoute qu'elle doit reprendre le travail et elle prie Nabil de sortir de la salle de bain afin qu'elle puisse finir de laver le sol.

Nabil revient dans la grande salle.

"Oups, j'ai l'impression que ça ne s'est pas passé comme prévu avec Émilie !" le taquine Shannen.

"Eh bien, tu écoutes aux portes maintenant ?!"

"Pas besoin, tu avais laissé la porte entrouverte !".

"Bon, j'avoue, je me suis planté en beauté ! Elle est plus coriace que je le pensais cette fille !!". 

 Shannen rigole et taquine encore plus Nabil.

"Pour t'être planté, tu t'es planté ........au sens propre et au figuré !!".

 "Toi, tu as intérêt à ne rien raconter à nos potes, je te préviens !"

"Ou quoi ?" demande Shannen.

"Ou je mange tous tes oursons en gélatine, absolument tous, à chaque fois que tu en rachètes, ou alors je les cache !".

Il faut savoir que Shannen mange sans cesse des oursons en gélatine, elle en a même désormais mis un pot sur son bureau ! 

Elle éclate de rire.

"Alors, là, le tombeur, si tu me prends par les sentiments de la gourmandise, c'est clair : je te promets que les copains ne seront pas au courant de ton lamentable plantage !!!".

Against all odds, young Emilie got off to a good start at work. Admittedly, her chances of ever becoming a team leader in the maintenance department are slim, but she made undeniable progress! Nevertheless, she still doesn't enjoy vacuuming (it's noisy and you have to contort yourself to vacuum under the beds!), but on the other hand, she excels at washing floors; Jimena therefore assigns her this task as a priority. Furthermore, since Emilie promised to put her phone on silent, she was even allowed to keep it with her to listen to music while working.

However, today, Emilie had forgotten her headphones; she asked Shannen and Nabil, the only two people present at the cabin this morning, if they minded her listening to her music anyway, which they agreed to without hesitation. She started scrubbing the bathroom floor with gusto, singing "Ciel" along with Gims (listen HERE).

Nabil joined her.
"I've been listening to you from the next room, you sing really well, you could have a career in music! I like your playlist, could you share it?"
"No problem. It must be a nice change from your girlfriend's cringe music!"
(She's referring to Shannen, who loves 80s music and often plays it while she's working on the computer.)

They chatted for a few minutes about their favorite singers, and Nabil took a chance.
"How about we go out sometime? We could get dinner. I'll treat you if you want."
He added, "And we could go dancing afterward if you like."
"Go dancing after dinner?"
"Yeah, that would be a fun outing."
Emilie isn't fooled.
"Oh yeah. Cool. And after the night, do you have any plans?!" she asks sarcastically.
"Nothing... nothing special. Why are you asking?"
"Because I have three older brothers and I've heard them talking amongst themselves often enough to guess what you're thinking!"

Nabil starts making big gestures of amused protest.
"How can you imagine that? A guy like me, super serious and all that!!"
"Hey! Stop waving your arms around like that, I've already shown you the signs twice to remind you that the floor is wet and slippery!" Emilie shouts.

Too late! Nabil slips on the wet floor and ends up sitting on the ground.
Emilie bursts out laughing.

"You're heartless to make fun of me like that!! I could have killed myself because you suspected me of having thoughts I'd never dare have for a beautiful girl like you!"
Émilie burst out laughing, almost crying.

Nabil got up, limping slightly, then asked:
"So, after making me take that nasty fall on my magnificent, super-muscular backside, you can't refuse to spend the best night of your life with me!"
"But yes! Seriously, can you imagine what my friends would think if they knew I was going to dance with a guy who can't even stand up straight?! I'd be so embarrassed!!"

Emilie starts laughing again, then, once she's calmed down, she adds that she has to get back to work and asks Nabil to leave the bathroom so she can finish washing the floor.

Nabil returns to the main room.
"Oops, I have a feeling things didn't go as planned with Emilie!" Shannen teases him.
"Well, are you eavesdropping now?!"
"No need, you left the door ajar!"
"Okay, I admit it, I totally messed up! She's tougher than I thought, that girl!!"

Shannen laughs and teases Nabil even more.
"You really fell flat... literally and figuratively!!"
"You'd better not tell our friends, I'm warning you!"
"Or what?" asks Shannen.
"Either I'll eat all your gummy bears, absolutely every single one, every time you buy more, or I'll hide them!"
You should know that Shannen eats gummy bears constantly; she's even put a tub of them on her desk now!
She bursts out laughing.
"So, there you have it, ladies' man, if you're going to play on my sweet tooth, it's clear: I promise you the guys won't find out about your pathetic failure!!!"
