En sortant de l'Université, Guylaine a retrouvé Heidi, son amie d'enfance, sa confidente, celle avec laquelle "elles se disent tout".

Elle lui raconte ce qui s'est passé hier avec Wash, ce qu'il lui a expliqué et ce qu'elle lui a promis.

"Il m'a appelée son flocon de neige. Tu sais, je crois que je suis plus qu'amoureuse, c'est vraiment sérieux cette fois".

"Il y a un moment que je l'avais compris, tu sais ! C'est joli "flocon de neige". Tout mignon. Et bien choisi avec la couleur de tes cheveux ; ça aurait été moi, j'aurais eu droit à flammes d'enfer ou pomme d'api ! Bon, et puis ? Après ta promesse, qu'a-t-il dit ?".

 "Eh bien... on a beaucoup parlé et la glace qui le bloquait a fondu, il s'est complètement ouvert. À midi, je l'ai invité à déjeuner à la maison, parce que je voulais qu'il comprenne qu'il est bienvenu chez mes parents. Il a hésité et il a finalement accepté. Mais c'était un peu raté parce qu'ils n'étaient pas là. : "Partis pour la journée, de retour vers 17 h" avaient-ils noté sur la porte du frigo".

"Dommage, ça l'aurait complètement rassuré".

" Oh, tu sais.... en fait..... ben.... on a finalement trouvé que c'était très bien qu'ils ne soient pas là !".

Heidi dissimule mal son sourire.

"Oh oh ! D'accord.... Si je comprends bien, vous avez....". 

Guylaine rougit copieusement en répondant :

"Ben oui.... Il fallait bien rattraper le temps perdu !". 

Les deux amies sont rentrées sous les flocons. 

Voici d'ailleurs la vue que j'avais depuis ma boîte à lettres à midi : le Mont Orford a entamé sa saison de neige.

Astuce utilisée pour contrer les problèmes de connexion : je prépare mes textes et réponses sur un document Word, et dès qu'on arrive à relancer le modem quelques courtes minutes, je copie-colle et j'envoie.  Pour les photos, je télécharge une par une, et j'enregistre en brouillon à chacune, pour être sûre qu'elles sont bien pré-publiées.

Maintenant, je vais faire pareil pour répondre à vos commentaires : les préparer sur un Word et les publier pendant les courts moments de bonne humeur de notre pauvre vieux modem.

Aux dernières nouvelles, nous devrions en recevoir un nouveau + routeur en début de semaine. J'espère que l'actuel tiendra quand même à peu près jusque-là. 

En attendant, je suis contente d'avoir réussi à clôturer la 3e partie de l'histoire de Guylaine et Wash, en espérant que cette fin vous aura plu........ autant qu'à eux deux ! 😊

Leaving the university, Guylaine met up with Heidi, her childhood friend, her confidante, the one with whom "they tell each other everything."
She tells her what happened yesterday with Wash, what he explained to her, and what she promised him.
"He called me his snowflake. You know, I think I'm more than in love, it's really serious this time."
"I've known that for a while, you know! 'Snowflake' is pretty. So cute. And well-chosen with the color of your hair; if it had been me, I would have gotten 'flames of hell' or 'autumn apple'! And then? After your promise, what did he say?"

"Well... we talked a lot, and the ice that was blocking him melted, he completely opened up. At noon, I invited him to have lunch at my house, because I wanted him to understand that he's welcome at my parents' place. He hesitated and finally accepted. But it was a bit of a failure because they weren't there. 'Gone for the day, back around 5 pm' they had written on the refrigerator door'."

"Too bad, that would have completely reassured him."
"Oh, you know... actually... well... we finally found that it was very good that they weren't there!"

Heidi barely hides her smile.
"Oh oh! Okay... If I understand correctly, you..."
Guylaine blushes profusely as she replies:
"Well, yes... We had to make up for lost time!"

The two friends went home under the first snowflakes.

A tip I'm using to counteract the connection problems: I prepare my texts and replies in a Word document, and as soon as we manage to restart the modem for a few short minutes, I copy and paste and send. For the photos, I upload them one by one on the blog, and save at each one as a draft to make sure they are properly pre-published.

According to the latest news, we should receive a new modem and router at the beginning of the week. I hope the current one will last until then.

In the meantime, I'm happy to have managed to finish the third part of Guylaine and Wash's story, hoping that you enjoyed this ending... as much as they did! 😊
