Les températures baissent et les couleurs d'automne s'amplifient.

Ce soir, quand le jour commençait à baisser, Aslan avait du mal à se décider à rentrer au chalet tant ses yeux ne se lassent pas de voir toute cette beauté naissante.

Pourtant, il entend dire partout qu'en raison de l'invraisemblable sécheresse qui se prolonge, ces couleurs sont bien plus ternes que d'habitude. Mais ça lui parait impossible tellement ce qu'il voit semble beau à ses yeux étrangers à ce pays.

Une fois arrivé au chalet, il a donné sa carte mémoire à Shannen qui l'a rapidement visionnée. Parmi toutes les photos, elle a fait un premier tri en essayant de choisir des lieux de prises de vue différents de ceux des dernières photos du parc national que lui avait ramenées Aslan. Dans un premier temps, elle en a retenu quelques unes que voici.

Elle s'est dit en soupirant qu'elle allait avoir du mal à retenir seulement deux photos parmi celles-ci pour le magazine d'Ariane. En effet, au travers du Carnet de voyage, la rédactrice a prévu de montrer l'évolution hebdomadaire des couleurs dans son prochain numéro de Naturelimages, à raison de deux photos pour chaque semaine.

Or, c'est Shannen, avec son métier de graphiste, qui est chargée en toute liberté de la présentation du Carnet de voyage, et donc du choix des images. Toutefois, ses camarades photographes ne sont pas toujours satisfaits de ceux qu'elle fait, ce qui crée parfois des discussions à n'en plus finir lorsqu'ils essaient d'influencer ou modifier ses choix.

Pourtant Ariane leur a répété ce que tous les photographes savent : c'est normal que ça soit aussi subjectif pour eux, car chaque photo est chargée de leur propre ressenti lorsqu'ils l'ont prise ; ce qui explique qu'ils soient plus attachés à l'une ou l'autre, alors qu'un regard "étranger" qui voit ces photos n'aura pas ce ressenti. De ce fait, une photo peut plaire au public alors qu'elle semblait sans intérêt au photographe qui l'a prise, et inversement. Mais même s'ils savent cela, le cœur a ses raisons que la raison ne connaît pas, et malheureusement, ils sont parfois bien déçus des choix de Shannen.

The temperatures are dropping and the autumn colors are intensifying.
Tonight, as the day began to fade, Aslan had a hard time bringing himself to return to the cabin, as his eyes never tired of seeing all this emerging beauty.
Yet, he hears everywhere that due to the incredible drought that is continuing, these colors are much duller than usual. But it seems impossible to him, as what he sees seemed so beautiful to his eyes, unfamiliar with this country.
Once he arrived at the cabin, he gave his memory card to Shannen, who quickly looked through it. Among all the photos, she made an initial selection, trying to choose locations different from those of the last photos of the national park that Aslan had brought back for her.

She thought with a sigh that she would have a hard time choosing just two of these photos for Ariane's magazine. Indeed, through the Travel Journal, the editor plans to show the weekly evolution of colors in her next issue of Naturelimages, with two photos per week.
However, it is Shannen, with her job as a graphic designer, who is freely responsible for the presentation of the Travel Journal, and therefore for the choice of images. But her fellow photographers are not always satisfied with her choices, which sometimes creates endless discussions when they try to influence her or modify her choices.
Yet Ariane repeated to them what all photographers know: it's normal for it to be so subjective for them, because each photo is charged with their own feelings when they took it; which explains why they are more attached to one or the other, whereas a "foreign" eye viewing these photos will not have this feeling. As a result, a photo may appeal to the public while seeming uninteresting to the photographer who took it, and vice versa. But even if they know this, the heart has reasons that reason knows nothing of, and unfortunately, they are sometimes very disappointed by Shannen's choices.
