C'est avec une petite touche de contrariété que Shannen a rempli cette page du Carnet de voyage.

Je vous en recopie le texte ici :

17 juillet 2025 - Il fait encore 38° de ressenti à 18 heures.

Qui aurait pu croire qu'on se serait plaint de la chaleur en venant au Canada ?!  Si on nous l'avait dit le jour de notre départ, on aurait rigolé.

Ariane a demandé à tous nous rencontrer dans l'après-midi. Nous nous sommes installés dehors car la chaleur est insupportable dans le chalet.

Ce n'est pas vraiment moins chaud dehors, avec l'humidité et l'atmosphère orageuse, en plus de l'odeur de fumée des feux de forêt qui viennent de l'ouest, mais c'est toujours mieux que dedans.

À peine installée, Ariane nous a annoncé que nous allions faire l'objet d'un documentaire pour Radio-Canada.

Duncan arrive demain avec la productrice. Nous serons filmés dans nos  activités, au chalet et sur le terrain.

Éric et elle ont donné leur accord  en estimant que c'était une bonne publicité pour le parc national et pour la revue Naturelimages qui sponsorisent notre séjour.

Après quelques instants de stupeur, des protestations se sont élevées.

Kyle :

C'est moi le cameraman officiel de Duncan, ça ira.  Mais si c'est la productrice à laquelle je pense, bon courage pour nous tous !

Wash :

Manquait plus que ça !

Aslan :

Moi, je randonne seul sur la moto.

Oona :

Ils vont nous déranger s'ils viennent sur le terrain, les affuts se font en silence.

Shannen :

Ils ne vont pas nous surveiller tout le temps quand même

Yumi :

Ils vont nous poser des tas de question et nous faire perdre du temps.

Nabil :

Je n'ai pas signé pour jouer à Survivor dans une téléréalité.

Tina :

C'est impossible, on a besoin de concentration pour faire nos photos.

Pas le choix, c'est déjà officiel ; le documentaire se fera.

Ariane pense que ça nous plaira sûrement....

J'espère pour eux que la productrice mentionnée par Kyle ne sera pas aussi incommodante qu'il l'a laissé entendre !

It was with a touch of annoyance that Shannen filled out this page of her Travel Journal. I'm copying the text here:

July 17, 2025 - It still feels like 38°C (100°F)  at 6 p.m.
Who would have thought we'd complain about the heat when we came to Canada?! If someone had told us the day we left, we would have laughed.

Ariane asked to meet us all in the afternoon. We settled in outside because the heat is unbearable in the cabin. It's not really any cooler outside, with the humidity and the stormy atmosphere, plus the smell of smoke from the forest fires coming from the west, but it's still better than inside.

As soon as we settled in, Ariane told us we were going to be the subject of a documentary for Radio-Canada.
Duncan is arriving tomorrow with the producer. We'll be filmed during our activities, at the cabin and in the field.
Eric and she agreed, believing it would be good publicity for the national park and for the magazine Naturelimages, which is sponsoring our stay.

After a few moments of shock, protests arose.

Kyle:
I'm Duncan's official cameraman, that'll be fine. But if it's the producer I'm thinking of, good luck to all of us!

Wash:
And what more?

Aslan:
I'm hiking alone on the motorcycle.

Oona:
They'll disturb us if they come whit us; wildlife photos hides are done in silence.

Shannen:
They're not going to watch us all the time, are they?

Yumi:
They'll ask us tons of questions and waste our time.

Nabil:
I didn't want to play Survivor on a reality TV show.

Tina:
It's impossible, we need to concentrate to take our photos.

No choice, it's already official; the documentary will happen.
Ariane thinks we'll probably like it....

I hope for their sake that the producer Kyle mentioned won't be as annoying as he made it sound!
