Après s'être amusés pendant plus d'une heure à se poursuivre et faire des concours de vitesse sur la glace, ils ont décidé de rentrer car leurs petits estomacs criaient famine en pensant au bon goûter qui les attendait à la maison.

Ils se sont assis sur les planches pour déchausser leurs patins, en profitant pour jouer à se chiper mutuellement leurs bottes pour les jeter plus loin et à se bousculer en riant. Une fois qu'ils eurent enfin fini de se rechausser, ils avaient très chaud et Benjamin s'est écrié :

- Oh, et puis zut, Maman a beau dire qu'il faut rester couverts jusqu'à ce que le vrai beau temps s'installe, moi je trouve que cette écharpe m'ennuie, j'ai le cou bouillant, alors je l'enlève tout de suite.

- Arrête ! Tu sais bien ce que Maman répète tous les ans jusqu'à ce qu'il fasse assez chaud : "en avril ne te découvre pas d'un fil".

- Oui, mais justement, on n'est pas en avril, on est en mars, alors il n'y aura pas de problème ! répond Benjamin avec logique....

- Stop it! You know what Mom says every year until it gets warm enough: "In April, don't take off a single thread of your clothing.
- Yes, but it's not April, it's March, so there won't be any problem! Benjamin replies logically...
