Dans le jardin des parents d'Andréa, il y a un poulailler ; quand Maman le leur demande, les enfants vont y chercher les oeufs. C'était le cas aujourd'hui. Andréa et Andréb étaient contents de montrer les poules et les petits poussins nouveau-nés à Andrina, leur cousine, qui découvre à la campagne tant de choses qui lui était inconnues en ville.

- Regarde comme les petits poussins sont drôles, s'écrie joyeusement Andréa.

Andrina n'ose pas trop s'approcher des poules, elle a peur de recevoir des coups de bec, et elle reste prudemment derrière Andréa.

- Tu peux t'approcher lui dit Andréb, elles sont gentilles, on peut même les caresser.

- Je le ferai surement quand elles me connaitront, répond prudemment Andrina.

- Je crois que les filles de la ville ont peur des poules, dit Andréb pour la taquiner. 

- Et si tu étais en pleine ville, tu n'aurais pas peur peut-être ? demande Andréa pour défendre sa cousine.

- Non, moi, je suis un garçon, je n'ai peur de rien ! rétorque Andréb.

Pour une fois, Andréa n'a pas su quoi répondre à son frère..... une première, n'est-ce pas !

Afraid of nothing!
In the garden of Andrea's parents, there is a chicken coop; when Mom asks them, the children go there to look for the eggs. This was the case today. Andréa and Andréb were happy to show the newborn hens and chicks to Andrina, their cousin, who is discovering so many things in the countryside that were unknown to her in town.
- Look how cute the little chicks are, says Andrea happily.
Andrina doesn't dare go too close to the hens, she's afraid of being pecked, and she stays cautiously behind Andréa.
- You can come closer, said Andréb, they're nice, you can even pet them.
- I will surely do it when they know me, answers Andrina cautiously.
- I think the girls in town are afraid of chickens, says Andréb teasingly.
- And if you were in the middle of town, maybe you wouldn't be afraid? Andrea asks to defend her cousin.
- No, I'm a boy, I'm not afraid of anything! Andrew retorts.
For once, Andréa didn't know what to answer her brother..... a first, isn't it!
