Il y avait trop de monde dans le parc national, et ils n'avaient pas envie de rester au chalet. Aslan et Tina préférèrent faire une balade tranquille en moto sur les routes de campagne environnantes pour observer la végétation qui commençait à s'éveiller.

Voici les photos que Shannen a choisies pour illustrer cette journée dans son carnet de voyage.

Ils commencèrent par quitter le parc national.

Ils prirent le chemin Miletta, ensuite le chemin Hopps, et finalement le chemin North. 

 Ils ont souvent pesté sur l'état des sections de chemins qui les obligeaient à zigzaguer à une allure d'escargot. "Avec autant de nids de poules, les œufs devraient être gratuits cette année !", s'est exclamé Tina qui se trouvait un peu trop secouée à son goût à l'arrière de la moto.

Aslan et Tina enlevèrent leurs blousons de moto à chaque arrêt ; il ne faisait que 12 °C, mais avec le soleil, leurs gros pulls sous leurs blousons étaient trop chauds.

Il ventait fort et les cheveux d'Aslan flottaient au vent, ce qui amusait beaucoup Tina.

Au loin, on apercevait le clocher de l'abbaye Saint-Benoît-du-lac.

Où ils se rendirent.

Sur le chemin du retour, ils s'arrêtèrent à la grange Manson, un lieu où se déroulent de nombreuses réceptions, mariages et baptêmes (voir ICI), qui leur avait été recommandé par une employée du parc national.

(note : Shannen voulait supprimer la vieille cuisinière blanche qui se trouve sous le porche, mais Aslan a dit de laisser la photo telle qu'elle est, trouvant ce détail insolite et amusant).

De retour au chalet, ils cliquèrent sur ce lien et décidèrent que c'était beaucoup trop extravagant pour le mariage intime et simple qu'ils souhaitaient célébrer en juin.

Cette grange est située dans le village d'Austin, dont voici l'église et l'épicerie.

L'après-midi s'achevait, il était temps de revenir au chalet par le chemin Nicholas Austin, puis le chemin des Pères, et donner les cartes mémoires à Shannen pour qu'elle sélectionne les photos... et c'est ainsi que j'ai pu vous les présenter.

There were too many people in the national park, and they didn't feel like staying at the cabin. Aslan and Tina preferred to take a leisurely motorcycle ride on the surrounding country roads to observe the vegetation as it began to awaken.
Here are the photos Shannen chose to illustrate this day in her travel journal.

They started by leaving the national park.
They took Miletta Road, then Hopps Road, and finally North Road.

They often complained about the condition of the sections of road that forced them to zigzag at a snail's pace. "With so many potholes, the eggs should be free this year!" exclaimed Tina, who was getting a bit too much of a jolt on the back of the motorcycle.

Aslan and Tina took off their motorcycle jackets at every stop; it was only 12°C (54°F), but with the sun, their thick sweaters under their jackets were too warm.
It was very windy, and Aslan's hair was blowing in the breeze, which amused Tina greatly.

On the way back, they stopped at Manson Barn, a venue that hosts many receptions, weddings, and baptisms (see HERE), which had been recommended to them by a national park employee.

(Note: Shannen wanted to remove the old white stove under the porch, but Aslan said to leave the photo as it is, finding the detail unusual and amusing.)

Back at the cabin, they clicked on this link and decided it was far too extravagant for the intimate and simple wedding they wanted to celebrate in June.

This barn is located in the village of Austin, whose church and grocery store are pictured here.

The afternoon was drawing to a close, and it was time to return to the cottage via Nicholas Austin Road, then Fathers Road, and give the memory cards to Shannen so she could select the photos... and that's how I was able to share them with you.
