Hier, Eric avait envoyé un texto (SMS) à Shannen pour l'avertir de rester au chalet ce matin parce que que du bois de chauffage leur serait livré par des employés du parc aujourd'hui dans l'avant-midi.

La livraison a été faite comme prévu.

"Ou qu'c'est-tu don' qu'on teul'pose ?" a demandé un des hommes.

Shannen était étonnée.

"Eh bien, selon toute logique, il faut le mettre dans la boîte à bois qui est à gauche du chalet. Ce n'est pas là que ça va normalement ?".

"Bin, t'sé, asteure, avec tous les campeurs d'la ville qui viennent dans c'parc, coudonc, on sait jamais trop c'qui veulent !".

Shannen n'a pas insisté, pas plus qu'elle n'a précisé qu'ils n'étaient pas vraiment des campeurs ; elle s'est contentée de sourire gentiment, et les deux hommes ont déchargé et rempli la boîte à bois, puis sont allés en faire autant au chalet des garçons.

Dans l'après-midi, Kyle est allé allumer en sourdine le poêle du chalet des garçons afin qu'ils dorment confortablement ce soir, car les nuits sont désormais très fraîches.

En revenant, il a montré à Shannen comment allumer celui-ci car elle ne l'avait encore jamais fait. 

"Hmmmm.... que c'est agréable", s'est-elle écrié en se réchauffant les mains. "Je parie que personne n'aura envie de ressortir pour aller au resto ce soir ; ça sera sûrement pour tous une partie de Skyjo ou de Crack List au coin du feu, comme des vieux !".

Yesterday, Eric had sent Shannen a text message warning her to stay at the cabin this morning because firewood would be delivered to them by park employees today in the morning.
The delivery went through as planned.

"Where are we putting it?" one of the men asked.
Shannen was surprised.
"Well, logically, it should be put in the wood box to the left of the cabin. Isn't that where it normally goes?"
"Well, you know, now, with all the campers from the city coming to this park, you never really know what they might want!"

Shannen didn't press the issue, nor did she point out that they weren't really campers; She just smiled kindly, and the two men unloaded and refilled the wood box, then went to the boys' cabin to do the same.

In the afternoon, Kyle went to light quietly the stove at the boys' cabin so they'd sleep comfortably tonight, as the nights are now very chilly.
Back at tje girls' cabin, he showed Shannen how to light it, as she'd never done it before.
"Hmmmm.... this is so nice," she exclaimed, warming her hands. "I bet no one will want to go out to eat tonight; it'll probably be a game of Skyjo or Crack List by the fire, like old folks!"
