En ce dimanche de week-end de la fête du Travail nord-américaine (Labor Day, le premier lundi de septembre, voir ICI), Aslan a pris la direction du parc national du Mont Mégantic (ICI) dans lequel se trouve l'observatoire Astrolab (ICI) situé à 115 Km d'ici.

Et il lui est arrivé une mésaventure !!!

Voulant éviter les grands axes trop fréquentés durant ce week-end surchargé, il est parti par les petites routes. Comme il savait qu'il rencontrerait peu de stations service sur durant le trajet en rase campagne, il a vérifié que son jerrycan de secours était bien dans la sacoche de droite de la moto (celle de gauche contient son matériel photo).

Le problème est qu'il l'avait vidé il y a deux semaines dans le réservoir du scooter de Yumi qui était à sec.. et que Yumi avait complètement oublié de le faire reremplir comme elle s'y était engagée.

Or, il ne passe pas grand monde sur les petits chemins de campagne (ici, on appelle ça "des rangs de campagne") le dimanche après-midi...

Le résultat fut qu'Aslan n'est arrivé au Mont Mégantic qu'à la nuit tombante.

Ce qu'il n'a finalement pas regretté parce qu'après avoir trouvé où dormir (hébergements dans le parc Astrolab ICI), il a pu profiter d'un spectacle qu'il aurait immanquablement raté s'il était reparti avant la nuit.

Il n'était même pas fâché !

On this Sunday of Labor Day weekend in North America, Aslan headed to Mont Mégantic National Park (HERE), where the Astrolab Observatory (HERE) is located, 115 km from here.

Wanting to avoid the busy main roads during this busy weekend, he took the back roads. Knowing he wouldn't encounter many gas stations during the trip through the countryside, he checked that his spare jerrycan was in the right-hand side bag of the motorcycle (the left one contains his camera gear). 
The problem was that he had emptied it two weeks ago into Yumi's scooter tank, which was dry... and Yumi had completely forgotten to have it refilled as she had promised.
There aren't many people on the small country roads on Sunday afternoons...
The result was that Aslan didn't arrive at Mont Mégantic until nightfall.
Which he ultimately didn't regret because, after finding somewhere to stay (accommodation in Astrolab Park), he was able to enjoy a show he would have inevitably missed if he had left before nightfall.
He wasn't even mad!
